It gets very grey in Casper during the winter, but sometimes all you need is a splash of color.

Last week Jackie and I took a road trip to Thermopolis for a story, and on the way back we drove through the Wind River Canyon. Early morning light, Bon Iver on the iPod. Doesn’t get better than that.
Sometimes misreading the map can take you down a quiet road, just as the early morning fog thinks about lifting.
