Winter #2

It gets very grey in Casper during the winter, but sometimes all you need is a splash of color.

Medicine Bow, sunset

While out on an assignment last week, I drove through Medicine Bow (pop. 244) right around sundown. Here’s a pictorial-ish one I liked.

Drunk people are funny. And yes, that’s a tattoo.

The Red Wall

A couple days ago, Jackie and I met our friend Steve Remich, who’s working in Gilette, and decided to drive out to Hole-in-the-Wall, Wyoming, an old hideout for Butch Cassidy and other assorted Western outlaws. Driving out there was an adventure in itself (30 miles on dirt roads, then 10 miles on a set of tire tracks through grasslands) but hiking out in the middle of nowhere with nothing around but the land was a pretty awesome experience.

Covered my first roller derby earlier tonight.

Boots optional…

Why wear your shoes when you can feel the grass between your toes?
