Just an outtake from some spot news…

A quick portrait from a peace vigil today downtown, commemorating the 4,000th American casualty in Iraq.
John Schuder has been protesting war since the 1930s, and didn’t fight in World War II because of his beliefs. Interesting to find someone from that generation who didn’t fight.

Geesh…now wrestling?
My sports portfolio better kick ass after this semester. Or at least contain one shot of every winter sport in America.
(Minus skiing.)
Well, at least I got a trip to St. Louis. And I got to see another national championship.

UN-Omaha’s 400-yard freestyle relay team celebrates after winning their event final — and a National Championship.
Missouri’s got a lot of picking up to do after this season. But hey, it’s not like I wanted to shoot another MU/KU game or anything…especially at the Big 12 Tournament.

I thought about whether or not I should post a picture from a house fire that I got sent to cover. This family has owned the house for 104 years, and the house is almost 150 years old.

The band waited…

Then they played. Mucca Pazza is their name.

Watching from above.

It’s not everyday you see a girl dressed up as a gorilla…
and getting her nipple pinched at that.

As the parade goes by.
