For about five minutes last night, at the very beginning of the first half, a pretty good basketball game was underway in Lawrence, Kan.
After that, though, the Kansas Jayhawks brought what they normally do against opponents in Allen Fieldhouse — a full-on smackdown. Last night, Kansas recorded it’s nation-leading 54th straight victory in Lawrence, beating their archrival, the Missouri Tigers, 84-65. After the game, Kansas forward Cole Aldrich was asked what it was like to beat Missouri. He smirked, and added, “it’s always fun.”
