OK, so I know I should be completely, utterly, totally, wholly upset that Kansas lost to Missouri yesterday during the Border Showdown in Kansas City. The thing is, I’m not as much as I thought I’d be.
It was an amazing game between two teams that just wanted to pound the crap out of each other, and it was even better to witness from the sidelines. They weren’t playing for titles or championships, just pride and a lower-tier bowl game, and that’s what makes this rivalry great.
And hey, if Kansas is going to lose, I’d prefer that it not be a total ass-whooping.
