Without her

Working on a story in St. James, Mo., about Megan (on the left) who just lost her best friend, Ksenia, in a car accident. This is something from her first day back at high school after the funeral.

I’m having a really hard time finding ways to visually tell this story. I think her’s is a good story to tell, just still trying to find ways to make pictures. I guess I chose this one because, after talking with Megan, I found the two were inseparable. Here at lunch, Ksenia would’ve been there, sitting right next to Megan.

Well…I’ll figure it out. Just wanted to share.

    Josh,
Beautiful. My cousin Haley died in a car crash a couple of years ago. Her best friend (Lee) was my best friend’s little brother. I have seen Lee and the-space-that-should-be-Haley often. Thank you for capturing this moment in Megan’s life.
